BEGINNING KNITTING         Saturdays 1pm – 3 pm      or           Monday evenings 6-8 pm

Ready to get started?   The knitted dishcloth is the ideal first project, fast to finish and always useful around the house!  If you prefer you can make a simple winter scarf.  Classes are held every week, please call to register.

 

BEGINNING SOCK KNITTING                         Saturdays 1pm – 3 pm      or           Monday evenings 6-8 pm

Sherry Baldwin and Sandy Joyner        $40 for 3 classes

Learn to knit socks with the perfect beginner pattern - Boot Socks.  You’ll work from the top down with a worsted weight yarn and larger double pointed needles.  Once you’ve completed these you’ll have all the skills to advance to any patterned sock on any size needle!

 

KNITTED HATS                     Mondays Nov 27^th, Dec 4^th, 11^th, 18^th             6 pm - 8 pm

Kelly Kleczka        $35 – 2 classes

This class is for beginner knitters who are looking to advance their skills beyond scarf knitting.  Hats are a quick and easy knit, and besides, it’s getting to be that time of year!  You will learn the essentials of gauge, pattern-reading, knitting in the round, decreasing, and double pointed needle knitting.  Either pick a favorite pattern at Yarn Paradise, or, if you dare – learn to knit a hat without a pattern!  Kelly will show you how to custom fit a hat to your own head using the trusty gauge formula.  Students are asked to bring Yarn Paradise yarn, appropriate size needles (a 16” circular & matching Double Pointed Needles) and a knitted Stockinette gauge swatch at least 4” x 4” to the first class.  Soon enough, you’ll be prepared for the cool weather to come!

 

KNITTING BASICS                Classes meet weekly on Friday evenings (6-8 pm)

Eunice Williams    $40 for 3 classes

For a beginner or someone who hasn’t knitted in a long time - you’ll learn how to cast-on, knit, purl and bind off. Come join us at any point in the month.

 

KNITTING BASICS AND BEYOND               Classes Meet Weekly on Sundays (4-6 pm) and Wednesdays (6-8 pm)

Eunice Williams    $40 for 3 classes

For those moving beyond the knit stitch, we will cover increases and decreases, knitting in the round, knitting on 2 circulars, and the art of following a pattern, as well as tips and tricks such as correcting your mistakes.  You may choose your creation from any Yarn Paradise pattern and we’ll help you select some beautiful yarn!

 

KNITTER’S CHOICE              Saturday mornings 10 am to noon

Kelly Kleczka        $40 for 3 classes

This class is for the advanced beginner, intermediate and experienced knitter who desires to advance their skills.  We will help you pick a project that is appropriate to your desire to learn and your skill level.  IT’S YOUR CHOICE!

 

 

CLASS POLICIES:

·        Your place in class is guaranteed once your payment is received.   Class fees are payable only by cash or personal check.  Credit cards are not accepted for class fees.

·        Your class supplies MUST be purchased at Yarn Paradise any time prior to the first class (unless otherwise noted on your supply list). Supplies for your class are offered at a 10% discount to you, as a registered class member.

·        Cancellations:  If you cannot attend, please request a full refund at least one week prior to the class.  If you need to cancel after that time, refunds are only available if we’re able to fill your space with another student. 

·        Space in classes is limited to registered students. 

·        Class sessions run for the designated dates.  Payment represents your instructor’s commitment to that time; therefore makeup classes are only available when scheduled before you have to miss a class.

·        We cannot be responsible for items left in the class room. Check to be sure you’ve taken everything with you before you leave your classes. In the event that you do leave something behind, feel free to check at the register to see if we’ve found what you’ve lost.

·        Weather:  Class sessions which are cancelled due to inclement weather (snow, primarily), will be rescheduled.  We’ll make every effort to contact you by phone in the event of a weather cancellation so that you don’t try to brave the elements for a class that isn’t happening.  Please be sure we have the best phone number to contact you!
